Keep one roster across sports, then decide how each sport feeds the overall standings. A win in bowling and a win in cornhole can count equally even though their game scores are measured differently.
Write the season’s requirements
| Requirement | Decision to record |
|---|---|
| Team identity | Same roster all season, or new partners each week |
| Match result | Winner only, final score, or every scoring event |
| Overall standings | Match wins, event places, or another published system |
| Absences | Substitute, makeup, or forfeit |
| Records | Who can export and correct results |
Bring this sheet to a product demo. “Supports multiple sports” can mean several bracket labels, detailed scorers for each game, or separate products sharing a login. Ask the vendor to show the specific workflow you need.
Shortlist by format
Challonge lists several competition formats, which makes it worth evaluating when you mainly need brackets and match outcomes. Confirm roster reuse and combined-season standings in a trial; the format list alone doesn’t establish those features.
For cornhole-led events, also check Scoreholio. Put non-cornhole requirements on the same trial sheet rather than assuming a cornhole setup translates to every sport.
Jesters Sports covers scorers for cornhole, darts, bowling, and pickleball. Trial your full league workflow before moving an existing season.
Keep scoring units separate
Don’t add a bowling score of 180 to a cornhole winning score of 21. That would give bowling far more weight simply because its numbers are larger. Convert each event to the same published league points before combining totals.
Our yard-game points example shows one placement system. Use it as a local format, then write your tiebreak and missed-event rules before play.
Trial the whole process with two weeks of sample results. Export the standings, correct a week-one result, and see whether the season total changes as expected. Keep the exported file with your league rules so the next organizer can follow it.
