Scoreholio and BagTrax both offer cornhole scoring. Try your group’s tournament format before moving an upcoming event.
We make BagTrax. This comparison uses published documentation and our implemented scoring behavior; it is not a hands-on review of Scoreholio.
Current scope
| Need | Scoreholio | New BagTrax |
|---|---|---|
| Public app | Available product | Play BagTrax |
| Tournament format choices | Multiple documented formats | Check current availability before planning |
| Cornhole round scoring | Cornhole product offered | Cancellation and raw player stats implemented |
| Migration of existing records | Confirm with vendor | No migration promise |
Scoreholio’s documentation lists tournament and league formats. Check the exact format and plan you need rather than assuming all events work the same way.
Our cornhole product page describes the new BagTrax scorer. Its round data supports cancellation and player PPR. That describes scoring behavior in this codebase, not a claim that a public league service is ready.
Before changing a league’s system
Write down what you would have to move: player identities, team rosters, completed results, standings, future fixtures, and any ratings history. Get an export from your existing system and inspect it. A file containing names and final scores may not include raw bag results.
Keep a copy of the old records. Decide which date separates the old season from the new one, and tell players which standings count. Avoid splitting one week’s accepted results across two systems.
Trial a whole evening
Use a spare event with the same number of teams and boards as your league. Include an absent player and a corrected result. Have another organizer take over halfway through.
Change systems when the replacement has passed that trial and you can recover your records. A different scoreboard alone isn’t a reason to risk a live season.
