Delete Your Account

You can request permanent deletion of your BagTrax account and associated data at any time. This page explains how to request deletion, what data is removed, and what may be retained.
How to Request Deletion
Email [email protected] from the email address associated with your account and include:
- Subject line: Account Deletion Request
- Your display name on BagTrax (so we can locate your account)
We will verify your identity and process the deletion within 30 days. You will receive a confirmation email once deletion is complete.
Data That Is Deleted
When your account is deleted, the following data is permanently removed:
- Account & profile — Name, email address, profile pictures, and authentication credentials.
- Payment information — Stripe customer and subscription records are deleted from our database. Your active subscription (if any) is cancelled.
- Push notification subscriptions — Web push endpoints and encryption keys.
- Notification preferences — All saved notification settings.
- API keys — Any API keys you have created.
- League ownership — Leagues you own are transferred or removed.
- Tournament organizer roles — Your organizer associations are removed.
Data That Is Retained or Anonymized
Certain data may be retained in anonymized form or where required for the integrity of shared records:
- Game history — Completed game scores and round results are retained for leaderboard and statistical integrity, but are disassociated from your identity.
- Tournament results — Completed tournament standings and match results are retained in anonymized form.
- Moderation records — If administrative action was taken on your account, a record may be retained for safety and compliance purposes.
- Payment records required by law — Transaction records may be retained for up to 7 years as required for tax and accounting compliance. These records are held by Stripe under their own data retention policies.
Third-Party Data
We will delete your data from our systems. Data held by our third-party service providers is subject to their own deletion policies:
- Stripe — Payment data is retained per Stripe's privacy policy.
- WorkOS — Authentication records are removed when we delete your account.
- PostHog — Analytics data is anonymized and cannot be linked back to you after account deletion.
